Sustainability

It  means protecting resources for future generations through responsible material choices, innovation and long-term thinking.

Sustainable Materials

Since 2010, Mabel has been active in the development and production of eco-sustainable materials derived from vegetable processing waste, serving the leather, footwear and paper industries. With the UPPEAL(TM) family, Mabel was among the first to envision a future driven by ecological innovation within its sector. Today all UPPEAL(TM) materials are produced by Coronet.

Durable Choice

Thanks to the technology developed by Mabel, these materials are suitable for a wide range of applications, offering mechanical resistance comparable to conventional synthetic fabrics, while enabling a more sustainable material composition.

Apple Powder

Apple Powder

It is currently estimated that around 30,000 tons of apple waste are generated every year. If not recovered, this by-product results in significant waste management costs for processing companies.

Mabel reuses this material as a valuable industrial resource, transforming waste into a functional raw material.

Apple Slices

A Green Choice

The carbon footprint of polyurethane (foam) is estimated at 5.28 kg CO₂ eq per kg of PU. Recovered vegetable waste, by comparison, has zero impact.

As a result, every kilogram of apple residuals used to replace polyurethane allows a saving of 5.28 kg of CO₂.
